On many occasions as passengers on ships and cruises, we live together or identify some crew members, but we cannot identify or ignore their rank or it is difficult for us to identify who is in charge of the ship in which we travel.

Technical and Maritime

Captain

Captain responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers. Oversee the management of the entire ship, from navigation to entertainment and all other departments of the boat. Timely reports to the corporate office for everything that happened on board, as incidents, economic, etc ..., it is even authorized to perform weddings at sea.

First official

On a cruise ship and depending on the size of the same can be two First Officers. Normally Safety Officer has the highest rank of First Officer in charge of navigation.

Second Officer

The Second Officer responsibilities include monitoring navigation and, led by the Director of the Bridge, perform administrative functions, maintenance and training.

Cadet

Future trainee officer performing administrative functions, janitorial and maintenance according to the instructions of a superior officer.

Chief Engineer

Communications Officer
