Genre shoot: Planning and Photos

In order to help me develop my understanding of what suits a certain genre and created a photoshoot for 4 different genres of music.

This will help me develop my understanding of what is suitable for a a genre photoshoot.

POP

This image would be suitable for a pop magazine as the background is pink which is stereotypical for a pop magazine as it is suitable for the audience. 

This image would also be suitable for a pop magazine as the poses are very girly and friendly, easily approachable for young girls to buy the magazine.

This image would be suitable for the magazine as the models are laughing together, being friendly which can support the magazines articles of gossip.

DANCE

This image would be suitable for a dance magazine as the use of props is stereotypical for the genre, such as the glasses and headphones.

This image would also be suitable as the facial expressions and body which can represent someone enjoying dance music.

This image would be suitable for a dance magazine as the pose and facial expression can represent a dj which is stereotypical for a dance magazine.

RAP

This image would be suitable for a rap magazine as the props of gold rings and gold jewellery are stereotypical props of the rap genre.

This image is also suitable for a rap magazine as the pose of the gang signs which is stereotypical for the rap genre.

This image would be suitable for a rap magazine as the colour of the light background makes the model stand out more.

ROCK

This image would be suitable for a rock magazine as the dark clothing would be stereotypical for the rock genre.

This image would be suitable for the rock genre as the red background make the models stand out more.

This image is suitable for the rock genre as the serious facial expressions is stereotypical for the genre.
