To develop an integrated badge system we will:
Visual map of scope and scale:

1. Create a badge constellation
Map articulates each badge:
-backward design
-Title, description, criteria, expiration
(if applicable, and evidence
Sample:
UCF Infolit http://infolit.ucf.edu/faculty/
2. Define each Badge and relation to System
Define when competency has been earned:
-authentic artifact
-test, quiz or formal assessment
-peer review of work
-verified participation (event or program)
-membership or interest group
-presenter, facilitator or leader
3. Identify a global assessment strategy
-Consider milestones or other steps
-Formative or Summative steps
-Make progression easy to understand
4. Determine system relationship & learner progression
Crucial questions:
-What does the badge represent in HEeD? Elsewhere?
-What rewards are available?
-Will it unlock added benefits?
5. Design benefits, opportunities & rewards
Adopt Badge Platform:
-Create, Distribute, Track
-Open Badge Platform
