QUESTION
What movement patterns are most efficient for microorganisms to obtain energy resources, while conserving as much energy as possible.
HYPOTHESIS
A specific balance between direct movement towards resources and randomisation will arise at an equilibrium between the two, if the virtual microorganisms movement settings are close to or at this equilibrium, then they will be operating at maximum efficiency.
MATERIALS
A computer A terminal / command line interface Windows OS Code editor (notepad, IDE) Document editor (docs) Data editor / graph maker (sheets) NANOORG virtual microbots toolkit An html reader (google chrome)
PROCEDURES
Streamline and standardize code for simulation environment.
For each test the simulation will run and be recorded until all the virtual organisms die, or until they eat all of the energy resources in the tank.
The simulation will be run for testing 200 times.
