Use exploratory design by collecting quantitative data initially to select a representative group of students who successfully completed the course that used critical pedagogy. Following, the students will be interviewed using multiple rounds of coding
Gathering of grades and finding successful students (C or better) for qualitative data.
Interviews with students about critical pedagogy content and how it affected their mathematical learning and overall success in the course.
Results will be shared with faculty for best practices. Results will be shared with students as a framework for transforming their communities with mathematics, but also how to be a successful student.
