The diet for gastric ulcer is aimed at restoring the gastric wall and its work, therefore, must comply with the following standards:
Cow's milk has a high healing property, so doctors recommend introducing it into the diet for stomach ulcers. It contains the necessary complex of substances and vitamins for the complete recovery of the patient. Weak tea or coffee can be diluted with milk. Animal and vegetable fats must be included in the diet for stomach ulcers, as they quickly heal the walls of the mucous membrane. The amount of fat in the diet should not exceed 100-110 grams. The diet should include 100 grams of protein, 100-110 grams of fat, of which 1/3 is vegetable oil; 400-450 grams of carbohydrates. The energy value of the diet should not exceed 3000-3200 kcal.
The main irritant in the stomach and duodenum is hydrochloric acid, therefore, food should be limited or completely excluded, which contributes to increased secretion of gastric juice.
Dishes that contribute to low secretion of gastric juice include: soups from milk and cereals, from vegetables; boiled meat and fresh boiled fish; milk and cottage cheese, cheese, soft-boiled eggs, omelet; stale white bread; non-carbonated alkaline mineral waters; weakly brewed tea, animal and vegetable fat; liquid boiled porridge with milk. Foods and dishes that strongly stimulate the stomach: spices, cinnamon, horseradish and mustard; alcoholic and carbonated sour, sweet drinks; strongly brewed tea and coffee; products that are fried; canned and pickled foods; strong broths from meat, fish, vegetables; fresh and black bread.
Of great importance in nutrition for stomach ulcers is the consistency of the food. The daily diet should not include foods that strongly irritate the gastric mucosa, these include: vegetables containing coarse fibers (radishes, radishes, turnips, asparagus, beans, peas); thick-skinned or unripe fruits; berries with a thick skin (currants, gooseberries, grapes, dates); wholemeal bread; meat cartilage, poultry and fish skin, veined meat.
Therapeutic nutrition should include foods that slightly stimulate the secretion of gastric juice, quickly leave the stomach and act gently on the mucous membrane. In combination with other therapies, it helps to quickly restore stomach tissue.
