Brief Overview

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic

  • Client creates Google Analytics account (http://www.google.com/analytics/)
     
  • Gets unique account number (e.g. UA-123456-7)
     

  • Associates website with the account
    (adds unique generated tracking code to the web pages)

  • Client creates Google Analytics account (http://www.google.com/analytics/)

Custom Variables

Custom Variables are additional dimensions that allow you to refine your Google Analytics tracking

Custom Variables allow us to track any additional data that we choose!

HOW?

  • Client adds Custom Variable in Google Analytics UI
  • Client adds Custom Variable in Google Analytics UI
     
  • Tells us his account ID and a chosen slot number for storing Maxymiser information
  • Client adds Custom Variable in Google Analytics UI
     
  • Tells us his account ID and a chosen slot number for storing Maxymiser information
     
  • We then send campaign generation info (a string) and it appears in client's Google Analytics UI
