He has also been very supportive of the activities of other organizations, including the Alberta Adolescent Recovery Center, Calgary Urban Project, Calgary Health Trust, United Way, Calgary Distress Centre and the Calgary Urban Project Society, Inn from the Cold, and Easter Seals. Marc is also a supporter and fan of the National Music Centre (NMC), and supports his wife Desiree in her role on the Capital Campaign Committee.

However, with heart disease drugs improving and eating habits getting potentially healthier, cancer is expected to surpass heart disease and become the nation's leading killer by the next decade.
