Azure Static Web Apps - Makeover Your Website
Modernization is just another work for "makeover." Let's dust off some older applications and give them an Azure makeover. Together we'll explore the new Azure Static Web Apps service and then I'll show how, with a little refactoring, you can deploy your static web assets, and create dynamic "serverless" API endpoints, and have a Github actions deployment pipeline. Soon, your previously forgotten web sites will be shiny and new again and you'll have a new toolkit to deploy your new applications easily (and inexpensively) to Azure.

Learn about Space with Serverless APIs
You can create powerful and scalable APIs for web and mobile applications with Serverless on Azure. Using Azure Functions and Logic Apps, we’ll create a serverless workflow to gather and transform data from Outer Space and return the results with an API endpoint. We’ll also see how you can use Azure API Management to organize, protect, and make Serverless APIs more available to your web applications. Finally, we’ll explore how Serverless on Azure can integrate with low-code/no-code application development to share Space API information to our end users.

Not so FaaS... what's under the hood?
ServerlessConf 2018: What if I really do want to know about the servers that run my code? How are the containers built? What makes one service faster or more efficient than another? Is it worth losing the transparency and going with a popular cloud provider service, or do you want to retain some control and use a 3rd party service? If we take a peek into the magic behind these managed services, what would we find? What is under the hood of Functions as a Service?
