  • Austrian & American investor & film actress
  • During the war she worked on countering torpedos
  • Co-invented Frequence-Hopping spread-spectrum. This technology is used in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, & CDMA radio communication technology.

Ada Lovelace

  • 'enchantress of numbers'
  • Born in 1815 in London
  • Wrote the first algorithm for a machine (a stepwise sequence of operations for solving certain math probs)
  • World's first computer programmer
  • Worked on the Analytical Engine, Charles Babbage's general purpose computer
