..My chosen project..

A selection of materials related to an original children’s TV drama, to include the title sequence to the TV programme, together with two of the following three options:

• The front cover to a magazine for the series;

• A DVD covers for the series;

• A radio advertisement for the magazine

I have chosen this project as it must appeal to children which I think will be fun to create as bright colours and cartoons will be included. Also I've made covers in the past so I feel comfortable with this project as I have experience.

who are you working with?

I am working with Clara in this task. I chose to work with Clara as we have worked together in the past and we get tasks done quickly together as we offer support to one another. Also working in a pair means we become more creative as we have different ideas for covers for example. I feel this is a positive decision as we are very organised, and we do not distract one another as we want to achieve superb work.

..what are your initial ideas for the project..

When researching we found that the majority of covers appropriate for children include bright colours and cartoons as this excites children and stands out on magazine stands. The magazines also don't feature a large majority of text as children's reading abilities may differ. I've also decided to use a model for my magazine as I think the magazine will appeal to children if they see other children on the cover as they will know the magazine is appropriate for them.
