De par sa nature même, ce matériel libre peut être, en toute légalité, reproduit, utilisé, adapté et partagé plusieurs fois par quiconque. Les REL peuvent être des manuels, des programmes, des notes de cours, des devoirs, des tests, des projets, des docments audio, des vidéos et des dessins animés.

    Ceres: catalogue collectif de ressources d’apprentissage

    Le passage du monde des documents à l’univers des données pose un défi majeur au milieu éducationnel dans son ensemble. Pour les bibliothèques, l’enjeu se révèle d’autant plus important dans un contexte économique qui laisse peu de marge de manœuvre. Pourtant, les ressources documentaires (numériques ou sur support papier) demeurent essentielles à l’apprentissage comme construction de la connaissance. Dans le cadre de sa mission technopédagogique, la Vitrine technologie-éducation (VTÉ) veille à l’appropriation de ressources éducatives libres et tente d’assurer la promotion du patrimoine éducatif québécois par l’entremise d’un catalogue de ressources d’apprentissage. Un tel rôle bénéficie grandement du travail acharné des bibliothécaires et archivistes de la province. Cet atelier porte sur l’impact que peuvent avoir les ressources d’apprentissage dans la transformation du monde des bibliothèques et des écoles.
