The Concept

USUME is the Universal Resume. When people apply for jobs, they may spend a lot time customizing different  resumes for different jobs. The idea with USUME is that you are submitting ONE RESUME to all jobs. In this, you making a statement about the consistency of your values.

The Motivation

The workplace needs more authenticity, and it's about time that people get to be themselves at work. And that all starts with the hiring process. With USUME, you're presenting yourself as an individual with values that speak loudly.  One resume, one set of consistent values.

Technologies Used

  • React.js for the front end
    • React-Router
    • React-Bootstrap
    • React-validation
    • Axios
    • bcrypt
  • Express.js for the server
  • MySQL for the database
  • Sequelize

The Design Process

Design Goals: Build with React. I used the react-bootstrap library, which is based on Bootstrap 3. I used react-router for the navigation.

The Design Process

Keep it simple by using representative icons, straight-forward copy, and images showing people performing a wide range of jobs.

Let's see the app.

Future Development
