Cathay Dupont Award and DuPont on their unrivaled support to 4-H

4-H is an effort made to teach young people to be leaders and learn by doing. It has been committed to its purpose of “engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development” for a lot of decades now. Young people are being provided with fulfilling, enjoyable, and educational opportunities by the trained adults.

4-H focuses on four personal development areas – the head, heart, hands, and health. To be more specific, it is about “head to clearer thinking”, “heart to greater loyalty”, “hands for larger service”, and “health to better living”.

4-H began changing that view of young people. 4-H drives them to be more passionate about agriculture and it is supported by various project clubs, community clubs, afterschool programs, camps, workshop, and events.

DuPont, as a company dedicated to a better future, fully supports the global 4-H initiative. It recently invested 2 million dollars to help build leadership institutes in five African countries. In doing so, adults could have a proper training to teach children the importance of 4-H.  Read more....
