The Contingent Employment contract, unlike the indefinite contract , is intended to incorporate someone for a job for a specific time and a very specific activity.

It is therefore an employment relationship between worker and employer for a set time. Likewise, it may be formalized in writing or orally, except for those longer than four weeks. However, during the term of the contract any of the parties may require its formalization in writing.

Types of temporary contract

  • Of work for work or determined service: It will last what the work or service lasts and is always done in writing.
  • Eventually by production circumstances: It is performed to meet specific circumstances of the production of a company. It has a maximum duration of 6 months and may be part-time or full-time.

  • Interim: It is done in substitution of other workers or to fill a position temporarily during a selection process. The duration will be the duration of the cause.
