Processing In-coming Book Donations

Step One

Open the “Amazon Seller” app on the TTP tablet.

Log in if needed

User name: ttpdc96@gmail.com

Password: ttp2013

Step Two

Make sure the tablet is Bluetooth enabled and the scanner is connected via Bluetooth

Step Three

"Click Sell a Product" and on the next screen place cursor in the search box and scan your book!

Pro Tip#1: hold the scanner down and aim at the 13 digit ISBN number.  

Pro Tip #2: the cursor must be in the box in order to scan an item. 

Step Four

Use Amazon Seller to determine if it's a "Amazon book" or "a store book" by reviewing two pieces of information supplied after you scan a book: 

1. The New/Used Price should be $2.00 or more
2. The Sales Rank should be 1.5 million or less

Let's look at some examples!

Example #1

This  book, Child Wonder by Roy Jacobsen in hardcover, would be a "store book." 

Notice the price and rank: 

11 new & used from $0.78--it's too low!

Sales Rank is 3.08 million--that's too high!

Example #2

This  book, Euphoria by Lily King in paperback, would be a "store book." 

Notice the price and rank: 

345 new & used from $0.01--it's too low!

but the Sales Rank is 1,696, which means this is a popular book. It also means it would do well in our store. 

Example #3

This  book, Constitutional Law is a great "Amazon book." 

Notice the price and rank: 

175 new & used from $80!

And the Sales Rank is 2,130 which means this is a popular book, and would sell pretty quickly.
