DC Advisory Board

The Turning the Page Advisory Board is a group of caring professionals who promote and fundraise for Turning the Page to support family engagement in Washington, DC.

 

Our Board members benefit by:

  • Accessing a professional network within our Advisory Board and the Board of Directors;
  • Developing their leadership skills;
  • Getting a closer look at issues and opportunities in the Ward 8 community

Fundraising and Marketing

Associate Board Members

Join one of our committees to build awareness, connect with the community, and support our efforts! 

Fundraising Marketing
- Coordinate one large fundraising event per year
- Plan 1-3 smaller fundraising events per year for the Advisory Board
- Promote fundraising and community outreach events
-Provide or seek in-kind expertise of marketing professionals to TTP branding efforts
- Provide insight into Turning the Page brand
- Coordinates Advisory Board social media presence
Projects Include:
- Securing auction items for TTP's Gala
- Plan for TTP's annual fundraising breakfast
- Host and conduct outreach for Carpe Librum Guest Shopkeeping Events
Projects Include:
- Regular posting to TTP Facebook about TTP Advisory Board events
-Completing at minimum one blog post/article per year to TTP network or external network/listservs
-Seeking opportunities to spread awareness and branding of TTP through year

Requirements of Associate Members

Application Rolling
Give or Get $100 annually
Fundraising Ticket Sales 2 guests
Volunteering 10 hours per year
Meetings 3 annual meetings (optional)
Committee meetings every 4-6 weeks (attend 75%)

Executive Board Members

Lend your expertise to help Turning the Page fulfill it's mission to empower parents and promote family engagement!  

Executive Members form our Executive Council and include Advisory Board officers as well as Fundraising and Marketing committee chairs. 

Requirements of Executive Members

Term  2 years
Give or Get $100 annually
Fundraising Ticket Sales 3 guests
Volunteering 10 hours per year
Meetings 3 annual meetings
Committee meeting every 4-6 weeks (attend 75%)
