Why MPC ?
MPC in buildings is a procedure to determine the optimal building operation by:
- Forecasting multiple scenarios
- Evaluating these scenarios
To do so, we need :
● Models of the Energy performance of buildings
● Score function

1 . Predicted 'Business as Usual (BaU)' consumption scenario
2. Optimise the consumption based on some penalty or activation signal (generated solar PV)
3. The building uses the control signal sent by the controller, and consume certain amount of energy
