Three digital Trends Driving the Uptake of Immersive Spaces

Welcome to Igloo

The software

The content

The hardware

With over 15 years' experience in the immersive technology sector, we don't know of any companies that have worked with more clients, in more industries, to deliver more installations in more countries.

2019

Backed by further funding rounds,
we launched our own software suite which enabled users to get even more use out of their immersive spaces.

2007

We started out on the festival circuit, founded by a group of technically-minded, dance enthusiasts who wanted to create the ultimate party venue.

2014

With secured investments, a growing number of employees and several corporate projects under our belt,
Igloo started to make waves in the immersive tech industry.

2018

By 2018 our product revenue had overtaken our events sales, so we invested heavily into software R&D and made a start on making our own suite.

2020

We launched the immersive workspace - a timely development as immersive workspaces were being touted as a technology CIOs should be investigating by Gartner.

2022

Work was underway to consolidate our software suite into an even better offering, launched in 2023 as Igloo Core Engine - the software platform for immersive spaces.

2024

After a successful launch of Igloo Core Engine, we picked up multiple awards
for both the software platform and our product offering as a whole, showing the strength and popularity of the immersive space to this day.

Businesses around the world are investing heavily in XR/3D/360° digital content. But typically,
they only have two ways to view
it
 – both of which have big issues and consequences:

The problem
we solve

Issues

It’s a solitary, disembodied experience

– which many people find uncomfortable

Consequences

Unsuitable for collaboration, instructor-led experiences, or the use of real-world tools

Issues

The spatial dynamics of the content are

lost – along with any sense of presence

Consequences

The very rationale for using XR/3D/360° content is undermined

VR Headsets

Flatscreens

We liberate it from inside headsets and/or behind flatscreens – enabling teams to engage with it
in a shared environment.

Igloo sets the content free

We design and develop the technology to run shared immersive spaces.

And we enable clients to choose the type of immersive space that’s right for them.

You could choose an off-the-shelf structure, come to us for a custom build, or ask us about transforming an existing room.

Three Macro Trends Driving the Adoption

of Immersive Environments

What do clients use Immersive rooms for?

Immersive Classroom

Transport students to faraway locations, host virtual field trips,
and create an engaging learning environment, in a way that suits every learner.

Enterprise Tool

Bring vast amounts of 2D and 3D data into one space and immerse whole teams in true-to-life content. Be surrounded by 2D data tools or fly through 3D data sets, fostering productive group discussion.

Engagement

Give impactful presentations through immersive storytelling and compelling pitches that help make your message stick.

Collaboration

You can involve remote colleagues through video conferencing and even VR and metaverse collaboration platforms.

Simulation

Create 360°, repeatable simulations for training to improve safety, save money and experience hazardous situations in a risk-free way for immersive and engaging training and onboarding.

Visualisation

Take clients through 3D, CAD,
CGI or BIM content, or use 360° films and fly-throughs to visualise spaces and reduce errors.
