Points, Lines, Planes

The Point

.

Points

  • Marks a Position in Space
  • In geometry it has x, y coordinates
  • Graphically it is a dot, a visible mark

Lines

Lines

  • Infinite Series of Points
  • A line has length, but no breadth. It has one dimension, length.
  • Connection between two points, or path of a moving point.
  • Can be a positive mark or negative gap
  • Exist in many weights
  • Straight, curved, continuous or broken
  • When a line reaches a certain thickness it becomes a plane.
