Type of Network | Cost | Security |

Client/ Server | High setup/ maintenance costs. Lots of parts incl. Server and switch. | User IDs, passwords and access levels. Centrally controlled Backup is centralised and usually automated. |
Peer to Peer | Cheap to set up and maintain | Files and programs saved on individual Computers. Can be used for sharing of music and streaming of live events. |
