Tackling the dependence of a visually impaired person travelling on a long distance train.

Simply put, a portable hardware unit that :

  • Recognizes hand gestures and responds with relevant information and assistance
  • Provides a braille compatible medium of communication
  • One finger to know train status(delay,next station name, estimated time remaining,current location)

RAISE

  • Two fingers to check restroom vacancy
  • Three fingers to check the current time
  • Four fingers to initiate bluetooth broadcast beacon
  • Five fingers to  call for assistance

*goes to sleep after 30 seconds of inactivity and can be woken up by moving your hands left to right

 

  • Send messages by using the 6 button Braille input panel

  •  In case human help is needed,simply shake the device twice and possible volunteers are informed with a special app.

  • Starts at Rs. 799

  • Primarily targeting patients with partial or complete visual impairment. 
  • India has approximately 15 Million visually impaired patients.
  • Can also be utilized by elderly and people with other disabilities.
