`Alopeke, Zorro, & NESSI

Resident, diffraction-limited, dual-channel, speckle imagers with “Wide-field” mode at Gemini & WIYN.

EMCCDs capture a series of 40-60 ms exposures. The figure (top left) shows individual speckles, an integrated image, the power spectrum, and a reconstructed image revealing a sub-arcsecond binary pair. The bottom left plot shows the binary detection contrast curves. The figure at right shows the results of using this technique in the wide-field mode.

Funded by NASA Exoplanet Program for validation and characterization of exoplanet targets from K2, TESS, and RV-discovered exoplanets and open to the community.
