During the 2023-24 season, Perkins played a lot in the post for Lake Superior State, but a good amount of his scoring possessions came also in Cut situations: in these possessions he showed his best efficiency, scoring 1.304 Points Per Possession and thus positioning himself in the 73rd percentile in the entire NCAA Division 2.

Perkins still showed his scoring versatility by using at best also his Post Up possessions: during the 2023-24 season he scored 0.930 Points Per Possessions in these situations, a very good number that put him in the 62nd percentile in NCAA Division 2.

Perkins also showed his fantastic passing skills and ability to take care of the ball during the 2023-24 season: he posted an Assist/Turnover Ration of 1.3 with only a 13.1% Turnover Percentage, both very good numbers for a center.

•  Perkins is a center with very good physical tools and athleticism. He’s quick and is vertical inside the paint, he can be a constant threat cutting and rolling inside the paint.
•  He has good skills in the low post with soft touch and excellent footwork. He’s also a fantastic passer for his position.
 •  He’s a versatile defender who can move his feet very well and is an excellent shot blocker inside the paint.

•  Perkins needs to work on his ability to set strong screens and on his fundamentals on the pick-and-roll.

•  He also needs to improve his scoring range, become a better free throw shooter and possibly add also a jump shot.

Perkins has very high upside thanks to his mix of size, length, athleticism, soft touch, post game, basketball IQ, passing skills, quickness cutting to the basket, intensity, and defensive impact. His athleticism, poise with the ball and pick-and-roll upside fit perfectly the International game. 

There isn't an easy road to success. There are no shortcuts. Each player must find his way with putting in work in the gym, dedication, passion, determination and the right choices.
