SUPERCHARGED REVISION PLAN

SECTION 1 - HOW?

SECTION 2 - HOW LONG?

SECTION 3- HOW WILL I KNOW IT HAS BEEN EFFECTIVE?

In this section identify the topics you are going to cover and the specific activities you are going to do

Be very clear about the time. If you are doing active revision, spend no longer than 2 hrs. Always build in 10min breaks, every 40mins

2hrs passively reading notes you will have no idea if you have made any progess, so you will need to test yourself, eg: A set of questions / A mini lesson you teach yourself / short answer questions under timed conditions

DESIGNING STICKY TIMETABLES

  1. Start by putting in some key moments of connection, joy and relaxation into your week.

  2. Now begin to organise the work-slots around these periods of relaxation.

  3. Mentally rehearse the week, thinking about ‘mission and ‘medal’.

  4. Run it through once, then adjust.

  5. Ignore the setbacks.
