An outcome of a research project at the Royal College of Art on "Design in General Education" was the statement of a belief in a missing "third area" of education (1979).

R-شيف (R-Shief) archive and media system was first introduced at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History's "interACTIVATE" exhibition in 2009. The beta was an archive of social media from Gaza, Palestine.
