All nodes have an equal probability of being chosen to validate the block timestamp and share in validation rewards. Every time a node participates in the validation process, it is rewarded with the iG17 asset-backed, digital tokens. This validation system rewards all network participants over time, irrespective of hardware or monetary advantage. No massive computational resources are required, reducing energy consumption to no more than what is needed to power a smart phone.

GENESIS Cluster is iG17's management blockchain that provides oraclized services to the iG17 chain. This core technology manages secure software updates, new node registration and storage. SANDBOXED DECENTRALIZED APPLICATIONS
Each decentralized application (dApp) and its encompassed smart contract logic is deployed on its own side chain. Faulty or hacked smart contract code is isolated from the main chain, and can be dealt with by the compromised dAPP's developers and without affecting the health of the overall iG17 platform.
