Sourcerer; a tool that demystifies the news
At SNDExp this March, Team Times Square prototyped Sourcerer, a tool that updates the footnote using icons and previews to help journalists link to the sources they've used. It could increase user engagement, it's easy to implement and makes the news more transparent. Team Times Square is Jeff Jarvis of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, Jim Sergent of USA Today and Aditi Bhandari of the Northwestern University Knight Lab.
