Total Relationship Investing
The facts of investing are clear.
History has shown us what’s possible when you invest in the markets over time, and the steps to building your portfolio with the right risk-reward balance are purely technical.
But there is a whole dimension of investing that has nothing to do with facts. It’s about feeling confident
about the future, preserving what matters to you, and navigating life’s twists and turns.
The most fundamental mistakes happen when we mix these two components: the facts and the feelings. What is needed is a relationship with an advisor who cares enough to understand your feelings, but allows the facts to drive your portfolio.
Total Relationship Investing (TR Vest™)
A total relationship strategy means we’re able to account for both the reality of the markets and the reality of your life. With TR Vest™, we address your personal needs through carefully planned cash reserves, while allowing the technical research to drive the decisions for your overall portfolio.
The way we see it, we’re going on a journey and you’re telling us where you want to go. With the certifications we have, the professionals on our team, and the process we’ve designed, we can simplify and automate the steps along the way. You can focus on your life, and we manage the details.
How to measure success.
Success is you achieving the things your money was meant for. It’s not about beating some index, it’s about enjoying life. And to the extent that we help you do that, we fulfill our mission, which is helping to make life better for our clients and those in our community.
Enjoying life with the income you need
Achieving another goal
Providing for those you love
How It Works
STEP 1
TR Vest™ Investment Policy Statement
Once we review and analyze your investment needs, we create and present a comprehensive document. This includes stated considerations, a statement of service and an Investment Policy Statement that details how we will manage your portfolio.
STEP 2
TR Vest™ Portfolio
Our investment committee collaborates to design your custom portfolio, using a data-driven process
with multiple sources of research. We also set up your cash reserves account, which will fund the
life events and goals that we discuss at each review. This reserve account will be separate from your
portfolio and will not be subject to market risk.
STEP 3
Ongoing Management
We provide a discretionary investment service, which means your portfolio is managed according to your TR Vest™ IPS, and with a fiduciary commitment to your needs. The process is smooth and efficient, so that you can focus on enjoying life.
During periods of strong market performance, we divert a portion of your portfolio’s gains to your cash reserves account, so that it will be sheltered from risk and accessible to you when you need it. This also helps us avoid having to sell off investments in downward markets in order to meet your lifestyle goals.
STEP 4
Delegate
Please leave it to us. Our investment committee analyzes the research, discusses its impact and then makes allocation changes in seeking to maintain harmony between your portfolio and your goals. What results is an efficient management process that allows us to be more nimble in the investment world’s quickly changing marketplace.
STEP 5
Monitor
Once your planning is discussed, and your portfolio is invested, the most important work of monitoring your life’s changes begins. Through our ongoing relationship and communication, we walk alongside you to help raise your short-term cash needs ahead of time as markets create an opportunity to do so on an uptrend or all-time high.
What makes
TR Vest™ possible?
Experienced Investment Committee
There’s harmony in a team. That’s why TR Vest™ is managed by a committee of experienced professionals with different backgrounds, degrees and certifications, all with a desire to combine ideas and thoughts in the process of managing client portfolios.
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Certification
Tyson Ray holds the CIMA® designation. Administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute and taught in conjunction with the Yale School of Management, this is a prestigious credential that qualifies us to serve our clients with sophisticated investment strategies and convenient, streamlined processes.
The Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) Certification
Luke Kuchenberg and Tyson Ray hold the CFP® designation. Attained through the College of Financial Planning, this certification represents a level of experience and knowledge that goes beyond basic wealth planning. This is one of the ways in which we have elevated our service capabilities in order to provide our clients with the guidance they need to create a better life.
The Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) Certification
Luke Kuchenberg holds the CPWA® designation, which is administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute and taught in conjunction with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Designed to provide seasoned professionals with the latest techniques and strategies to serve high-net-worth clients, this certification complements our investment expertise with a high degree of planning knowledge and provides our clients with a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.
The Certified Exit Planner (CExP™) Certification
Tyson has completed the prerequisites, training and examinations required to achieve this highly specialized credential. Issued by the Business Enterprise Institute, Inc (BEI), the Certified Exit Planner (CExP™) certification enables Tyson to work with business owners and entrepreneurs to align their investment strategies with custom-built business exit plans.
Client Relationships
TR Vest™ is just as much about the relationship as it is about the investments, which is a perfect fit for the culture at FORM Wealth. We partner with our clients to plan their wealth and we advocate for them as they work toward a better life.
Clear, Straightforward Fee Structure
One of the aspects of TR Vest™ that aligns us with our clients is our compensation. Calculated based on a fixed percentage, this fee-based model means we are directly tied to the growth and success of your portfolio, not to the sale of products or the cost of investment outsourcing.
TR Vest™ is available for advisory accounts only. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Investing always involves risk and you may incur a profit or loss. No investment strategy can guarantee success.
In a fee-based account clients pay a quarterly fee, based on the level of assets in the account, for the services of a financial advisor as part of an advisory relationship. In deciding to pay a fee rather than commissions, clients should understand that the fee may be higher than a commission alternative during periods of lower trading. Advisory fees are in addition to the internal expenses charged by mutual funds and other investment company securities. To the extent that clients intend to hold these securities, the internal expenses should be included when evaluating the costs of a fee-based account. Clients should periodically re-evaluate whether the use of an asset-based fee continues to be appropriate in servicing their needs. A list of additional considerations, as well as the fee schedule, is available in the firm’s Form ADV Part II as well as the client agreement.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
“Investments & Wealth Institute™ (The Institute) is the owner of the certification marks “CPWA®” and “Certified Private Wealth Advisor®” and CIMA® and/or Certified Investment Management Analyst®. Use of the CPWA® or Certified Private Wealth Advisor® or CIMA® and Certified Investment Management Analyst® signifies that the user has successfully completed IMCA’s initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for wealth advisors.
