The icon Juan Valdez is a fictional character who has appeared in advertisements for the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia since 1958, representing a Colombian coffee farmer.

1927: It is created by the National Coffee 
1958: The figure of Juan Valdez as an image of the Colombian coffee growing 

1980: Create the logo 100% Colombian coffee ads were designed by advertising agency Doyle Dane Bernbach. 

2002: Juan Valdez is positioned as coffee product whose value added is thighlight the coffee beans aregrown and harvested in Colombia to open its first store 

2004:Home growth nationally with the opening of new stores in other cities (Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Cali, Medellín, Santa Marta)

of Colombia and in different locations in the city of Bogotá (Usaquén, Teusaquillo, Suba).



2005: Initiation your international 

growth with the opening of stores

 in the U.S. (New York, New Jersey and Miami) and Madrid - Spain.
