More (Human) Languages
In addition to the 8 languages in 15 locales previously announced:
- Russian (ru-RU)
- Hindi (hi-IN)
- Thai (th-TH)
- Indonesian (id-ID)
- Danish (da-DK)
- Norwegian (no-NO)
- Swedish (sv-SE)
- Dutch (nl-NL)
(And the trivia template now supports more languages, too)
Content-based Actions
In addition to smart-home and conversational actions, we now have
- Podcasts
- News
- Recipe
New desktop directory that lets you view and share them.
More phone integration
Deep linking from an Action to an intent on a connected Android app.
More, deeper, integrations coming later this year.
Access to digital purchases made on Android.
Integration with "Places"
With permission, your users will be able to specify a place (such as a landmark or their home) and your Action can get the addresses referenced without knowing the user relevance.
Daily updates / Notifications
No longer in developer preview for phones.
Still not available for speakers. Yet.
Rich media changes
Web Content Carousels
- Like the current option carousels - except completely different.
Border options for card and carousel images.
Media Responses
- Play audio longer than 2 minutes.
- Continue the conversation after the audio ends.
- User's can interrupt and issue commands on speakers.
- Media controls and suggestion chips on Android.

Aiming for 30 languages by the end of the year, which would cover 95% of the Android user base.
