What about Non-Norwegian Digital Scholarly Editions?

  • Make a (printed) book, publish with a commercial publisher.
     
  • Make a (printed) book, self-publish (get an ISBN from the National Library and use their long-term archiving solution.
     
  • Publish your DSE as a data set on Dataverse.no or another discipline-specific or open data repository (Zenodo.org)
     
  • Publish your DSE within the technical and conceptual framework of a discipline-specific platform, like papyri.info (https://papyri.info/) or Deutsches Textarchiv/DTA (https://www.deutschestextarchiv.de/)
     
  • Buy a domain and host your own website.

Exercises

From what you have learned during the Summer School, discuss publication possibilities and obstacles for your project.

Look into the target audience of your edition project: What do you think they will want to do with the edition? Create one possible user scenario for your project and present it to your neighbour. Give feedback on each others' scenarios.
