Question 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Audience Feedback

By using audience feedback I indulge in the audience's mind; I am able to establish the audience's personal interests such as likes and dislikes.

By clarifying my target audience's personal preferences, I am able to adapt and tailor my main and ancillary tasks in order to please them. One way to acquire information from my viewers is by using surveys; I used them a number of times throughout my time studying A2 Media.

Why I Used Surveys:

- Establish market research so that I know the audience's opinion on how to advertise and promote an artist.

- Create an audience profile so that I have a good idea of what my target audience may be an their preferences.

- Have an idea of what the audience want to see in my Digipak.

DigiPak

From my feedback for the DigiPak, I was able to gain information that my audience would most likely want to see (fitting their personal relationship needs, according to the 'uses and gratification theory') within the booklet. Specifically for my DigiPak, I used feedback in order to obtain information regarding the layout, colour schemes and photographs that were going to be included within it.

Music Video

From the feedback given to me I was able to improve my work according to the audience's opinions. For my music video it had a big impact on my music video, as I created a survey and decided to give it out to see which of the two different music videos I had filmed would make it to my final cut. In previous posts, you are able to see these surveys asked; the results I got from it and how it helped me.

Magazine Advert

In terms of magazine advert, I asked feedback specifically on the layout of the advert because I wasn't sure if it was as effective as I wanted it to be. I was also having doubts on the position the reviews from the Rolling Stone and The Sun and the feedback from the audience helped me to choose one. The background has a big role on how clear the idea I was transmitting that is why I was uncertain if it would get a bit confusing, thus I decided to ask some advice and it was positive as it helped the audience to relate back to the country genre.

Overall in producing all my tasks, the feedback played a very important role in my final versions as this is a project that is meant to please the audience not just me.

I had to keep asking for feedback which helped me to see their various points of views and ended up by making my work better and more appealing.
