Be Part of the Solution, Not Part of the Problem

A few easy ways to help save the oceans.

Here is a map showing the Pacific Ocean.  The black area in the middle is the Pacific Garbage Patch.  80% of the garbage that has been washed out to sea is from shore-based activities.  This means that if people just cleaned up after themselves, we could prevent more trash from entering the oceans.

Here's just a few examples of how garbage impacts the ocean and it's marine inhabitants.

Here are some easy ways YOU can help!

1. Recycle

Recycling helps preserve our natural resources and helps minimize pollution.

2. Throw Away Your Garbage

Keeping our Earth clean is important.  80% of garbage in the ocean is from land-based activities.  People eat on beaches and don't clean up, then the ocean takes the garbage out to sea.  Properly disposing of trash will prevent more garbage from entering our oceans.

3. Use Reusable Water Bottles

If you use reusable water bottles instead of plastic water bottles you'll save money AND help save the environment.
