KBL head coaches deliver encouragement money for the U-18 national team

Head coaches of 10 KBL clubs are taking commemorative photos on Media Day ahead of the opening of last season.

Coaches from 10 KBL teams have joined forces to encourage the U-18 men's basketball team. The Sono professional basketball team has also made great support for the young national team.

The U-18 men's basketball team, led by head coach Jung Seung-won, will participate in the FIBA U-18 Asia Cup to be held in Amman, Jordan, from Sept. 2. Korea, which won the competition two years ago, has been in convocation training since the 1st to challenge for the top spot.

Despite poor conditions and support, the U-18 team rented a training center for professional teams. This is the way the team uses the gym for its local physical training. The team has a reputation as a member of the national team, and is living a life of "ddu-buck."

In response, KBL coaches agreed to feed the struggling U-18 team players at least a warm meal. Sono Kim Seung-ki looked into Sono's Goyang Sonokam Hotel buffet as a representative, and Sono, who heard the coaches' wishes, decided to provide full meals for the national team. The amount is close to 5 million won considering the buffet meals of more than 20 people, including coaches and U-18 team personnel, and bus support, a means of transportation.
