Hiring/Jobs
Advice to my 22 year old self (or anyone).
Make a good impression

First impressions (and many times hiring decisions) are made in the first 30 seconds of meeting someone.
The hiring process == dating
Be interested, but not desperate
Focus on being the right candidate, then finding the "one"
Always leave them wanting more
BE HONEST
Do your homework
Know as much about the job before the interview as possible:
- Talk to current, former employees
- Ask intelligent questions about the company
- Project your role into the future
- Culture is a large part of a job
Never make a job decision based solely on $$
After the hire
Never be a jerk
Always learn
Don't be afraid to speak up:
"I don't know"
"This isn't right"
"This isn't working"
COMPANIES WILL OFTEN HIRE YOU BASED ON WHO YOU ARE,
BUT WILL KEEP OR FIRE YOU BASED ON WHAT YOU DO.
