Our Future?
Technology is the solution to human problems. We won't run out of work until we run out of problems.
~ Tim O'Reilly at #TEDxSanFrancisco
"Life-changing" technology for me
in the past 10 years
- Google Search (information)
- Smartphones (convenience/communication)
- Amazon Prime (convenience)
- Netflix (entertainment)
- WhatsApp (communication)
- Uber/Lyft (convenience)
- Airbnb (experience)
- Google Photos (memories)
- Slack (communication)
- Podcasts (information)
Facebook Then:

Facebook Now:
Imagine a world in which...
- you and your friends do not "own" anything
- there are no language barriers
- you can be teleported anywhere, any time
- there are no physical offices
- there is a single, global currency
- AIDS is like a common cold
- if your finger gets chopped off in the kitchen (or eaten by a horse), you can print out a new one
- the term "family" is all-encompassing
- NO SCREENS!
The World will literally be at our fingertips
What then?
Human Relationship with Technology
- Technology has become an extension of our human body and brain
- How do we create other channels for humans to access (non-virtual) reality in a unique way?
- Product/service differentiation will be key
- How has the landscape changed the way that we interact with the world?
- Change in demographics, generational and gender shifts
- Change in societal/cultural norms
Get Out of the Building!
where the only screen you'll use is sunscreen
Get Out of the Building!

We can work any where, any time, any race,
any gender, at any age.
Get Out of the Building!
Physical experiences, history, culture.
What future do you want to create?
