Infrastructure for parties

Background

Since 2016 I have been to many awesome parties because of a friend of mine who has an agency, but the experience was never as good as it could be, and the reason was that his agency was lacking data and tech.

The Problems

  • I was in a VIP list, but it was via email, a manual work that always took too long to confirm my presence, and caused anxiousness because the email could be lost and we would have problems entering the party. This would be a huge inconvenience for me and my guests.

The Problems

  • The email lacked detailed descriptions about the venue, neighborhood, and party, making it difficult to make a decision about going and inviting my friends.

The Problems

  • There were always huge waiting lines to enter the venue, creating a poor experience since everyone had to enter the same time.
  • The party organizers had no data to know how many people entered or left the venue, so people had to enter the same time and could not enter anymore after some time, creating a bad experience, if they had real-time data, people could enter any time during the party.

The Problems

  • Paying for things inside the venue was also an issue because every party would have a different way of paying for things, and huge waiting lines in the bar due to the lack of data and tech.
  • People would often agglomerate around cashiers to buy vouchers.
  • People would agglomerate again around the bar to exchange vouchers for drinks.

The Problems

  • I also observed many times girls being sexually harassed inside the parties, this is a huge issue that happens very often, rape is also a sad reality. With tech and data, it would be possible to create a blacklist that would ban people with bad behavior from entering every party in the platform, creating a safe space for women to feel comfortable and enjoy the party.

The Problems

  • Many times I was invited to parties that seemed like a good party, but after arriving at the venue, I was disappointed because it was not my taste. If I had a way to tell my preferences, I would receive better recommendations and invites.

The Problems

  • Some times the party itself were good, but the drinks were not as good as it could be, if customers had a way to give feedback after the party ended, it would be a valuable data that would increase customer satisfaction and give a tool for agencies to do A/B tests based on feedback.

The Problems

  • Fraud is one of the biggest problems for agencies and party organizers, today we have the tech for KYC and identity verification, but there's no one using it. If every user were a verified user, it would be very appealing for agencies that don't want to deal with fraud and risk management.

The Solutions

Party POS

Ticket Sales

Analytics

V.I.P Lists

Solution: V.I.P Lists

Features: Manage KYC, RSVP, Check-in, Check-out, Feedback, and Recommendations

How we make money: Subscription

We can divide the V.I.P users into groups of exclusivity, each group having more perks and being more expensive and exclusive.

V.I.P 1, V.I.P 2, V.I.P 3, Elite

Solution: V.I.P Lists

Most people would be willing to pay a subscription to have an exclusive waiting line that is smaller and faster

Most people would love receiving customized invitations for parties that suits their taste.

Having different groups of V.I.P would allow for better networking and the feeling of belonging to something special and exclusive.

We would solve many issues for V.I.P list managers like Val.

Solution: Ticket Sales

Features: Manage KYC, Payments, Check-in, Check-out, Feedback, and recommendations

How we make money: Fee per ticket sale

Fraud is one of the biggest problems in ticket sales, if we have a verified customer-base we would allow agencies to sell tickets with more confidence and increase conversion rates.

We would be able to provide valuable data from customers.

Solution: Analytics

Features: Dashboard, Real-time data, reports

Most agencies have no valuable data about their parties, questions like how many people are currently in the venue? How many have left? Can we allow more people to enter to increase revenue? Those questions are left unanswered.

If we build an infrastructure for parties, we would be able to provide those valuable data to agencies.

Solution: Party POS

Features: Manage Inventory, Manage Orders, Recharge Wallet, Make Orders from Wallet Balance

If we create a unified way to pay for things inside the venue, we would enable greater customer experience, we could also develop a wallet that could be used in every party on the platform. The POS would have custom software to manage inventory, make orders (like drinks), recharge wallets, and also use the remaining balance in other parties.

How We Make Money: Fee per transaction

Opportunity

Everywhere in social media, people are posting about how when the social distancing ends, they will go to every party they see. There will be a huge demand for entertainment, and that could be a huge opportunity for an infrastructure for parties to be released.

We could use this time where parties are postponed, to develop our platform with growth in mind, and release when people and agencies are ready to make a comeback.

Vision

We have the ability to create a very powerful platform that operates globally like Uber because parties are pretty much the same everywhere in the world.

We could operate in many countries in just a few years.

We could offer both users and agencies, a global solution for entertainment.

How We Win The Game

If we build our platform from scratch with growth in mind and a set of products that spans the lifecycle of a party, we would have a platform second to none, and with a microservices architecture like Nubank, we would be able to scale quickly and develop new features faster than other players.

We Already Have the Tech
