Vision: To become the sole representation of Students in the Richmond School District and to become major cultivator of passion, opportunity and leadership.

 

Mission: To unify and represent all students in public schools of the Richmond School District in all aspects of their own education and to promote and cultivate passion, opportunity and leadership in schools by hosting events, launching campaigns and many other initiatives.

 

Goals | Feb

  • Successfully implement phase one of the structure

             Mental Health Awareness Campaign

             Elementary Arts Showcase

  • Establish strong connections with Trustees and vote on a representative to become the Student Trustee

 

Goals for Feb Onward

  • Establish phase 2 of structure
  • Solidify all passion councils (1-2 per month)

  • Run several initiatives successfully

  • Host Student Voice, Richmond Student Leadership Conference (RSLC), Elementary School Leadership Conference

  • Strengthen representation at Trustee level
  • Involvement in the district of the representation and the trustee

Spark and cultivate passion in students of varying categories

To gain insight and opinions from students and report this to the representative council

Initiatives can range from events, forums, campaigns to conferences, fundraisers, charity nights, social gatherings, competitions, showcases, newsletters etc.

The School District has a direct connection to a leadership force in all 10 schools

More opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills

More events to educate the student body on various topics

Plans: December

Create Representation Team

10 applications will be given to the principals of each school. 5 will be interviewed and 1 will be selected.

Select a Trustee, Treasurer, Secretary

They will be given a chace to present themselves for their desired position. The whole team will then vote for the most suitable.

Passion Forum

Run a forum where we gather information and opinions from LGBTQ student populations, gathering information to benefit Student Councils, the RDSCO and the District

Run a Mental Wellbeing Campaign

Run a campaign in schools where we are creating posters conataining positive language and information on groups that help

What We Need

From The District

  • Permission to represent the District as an indepentant organization

  • A sponsor from the District to guide all large leadership intiatives (RSLC etc.)

  • Funds to start our organization, to be monitered by the representative treasurer

Community and Students

  • An external meeting space

  • A sponsor from each school to help sponsor each schools initiaves
