Marseille
Marseille is France's second oldest city. It is a prominent Mediterranean port located at the southeast coast of France. The city has Roman ruins, medieval architecture, and wonderful cultural venues. The harbour is filled with waterfront cafes, shops, and bars.
Lyon
Lyon is the third largest city in France and is widely known for its historic architecture, gastronomy, and vibrant culture. Each of Lyon's districts share their own distinct treasures. These can include the restaurants and bars, hundreds of hidden passageways, Roman ruins and Gothic churches, and the beautiful Tete d'Or park.
Strasbourg
Strasbourg is on the border of Germany and France. The city is the seat of the European Parliament as well as the home of several European institutions. The architecture here is a blend of French and German, providing a unique type of worksmanship not seen anywhere else.
Loire Valley
Loire Valley is a famous destination in the center of France. It is known for its spectacular scenery, spledid chateaux, picturesque vineyards, and historic villages. This valley streches along the Loire River and is home to many wineries that offer tours and tasting.
Bordeaux
Bordeaux is another major port city with fine architecture, historic sites, exceptional shopping, and world-class arts. Bordeaux's downtown features 350 historic structures and landmarks that include churches and bridges. The city also has several beautiful plazas.
Luberon
Luberon is located in the southern French country side. With its lush forests, fields of lavender, farmers markets, and colourfully painted houses, you will find out why Luberon is a tourist magnet. The scenic views and sense of calm cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
Mont Saint-Michel
An iconic tourist destination, Mont Saint-Michel is a rocky island features a medieval fortress built as if it were stacked upon one another and then crowned with the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel. The structure was build by devoted monks in 708 AD.
Dordogne
Dordogne is a scenic location located in southwestern France. There are picture-postcard villages and chateaus, including the well-preserved Chateau de Baynac castle. The Dordogne has some of the best prehistoric cave art in France.
French Riviera
The French Riviera is the playground for the rich, famous, and hordes of international tourists. It is famous for the glamour of St. Tropez, Monaco, and the Cannes Film Festival. It enjoys a wonderfully mild to warm climate all year round despite being one of the more northern coasts.
Paris
Paris attracts 45 million visitors annually and is the world's most popular tourist destination. Dubbed the City of Lights, City of Love, and Capital of Fashion, Paris is the capital of France, known for the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral. Paris also features some of the finest museums in the world including the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay.
France Tourism
Tourism contributes 77.7 billion Euros to France's GDP and represents 9.7% of it, creating 2.9 million jobs in the country. In 2013, France was visited by over 85 million tourists and marks it as the world's most popular tourist destination. France is home to 37 sites inscribed in the UNESCO's World Heritage list and features cities of high cultural interest such as Paris, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Lyon, and more.
