After their father’s passing, Frank and his younger brother Benji now proudly run their dad’s auto shop by continuing to use his secret to success for magically repairing automobiles; a literal bolt of lightning in a bottle!
But, on the day of their most lucrative repair yet, the lightning runs out and the boys must sneak around his loyal customers, pretend to legitimately fix this sportscar, be forced to work together to do what their father did and catch lightning in a bottle!

This short film benefits from being written with a single, real location in mind and two main characters. Although high in concept, the film will take a practical approach towards special effects and accomplish the majority of its sequences in-camera, nullifying post-production reliance, and making it easier to maintain the film’s quality on set.
The main allocation of our funds will go towards compensating frequent, highly-skilled collaborators and stray from being put towards more expensive equipment. The gear used on this film will that we which we already have access to; story comes first.
The second largest section of the budget will go towards the film’s production design to ensure that the world of this story is tangible long before cameras roll.

Carlos is a Guatemalan director/producer based in New York City.
He’s been making movies since realizing he could stage his action figures in front of a camera to tell stories. Determined to produce his own work live-action work, Carlos attended NYU where he majored in Film Producing w/ a minor in Business of Entertainment and Technology.
Now with several narrative shorts under his belt, he is currently pursuing a Masters in Finance at CUNY Baruch to become the the highly adept producer/ director his future projects will require.
