Self-Knowledge
Self-Knowledge in psychology is the information an individual draws upon when answering the question "What am I like?".
To answer this quesiton with self-knowledge requires ongoing self-awareness.
Self-knowledge is the knowledge of oneself
which guides the development of one’s self-concept.
Self-knowledge informs us of our mental
representations of ourselves, which contain attributes.
The self-concept is thought to have three primary aspects:
The cognitive self (knowledge)
The felt self (emotions)
