Overview

Step 1: Submit the Confirmation statement and pay the Guarantee Amount. Chinese nationals must also apply for a Nuffic certificate


The Central International Office (CIO) will send your visa and residence permit application documents via e-mail. The CIO applies for your VISA only after we receive the confirmation & payment.


Step 2: Fill in the Antecedents Certificate (sample) and the Declaration of Intent for the TB check (sample)

Step 3: Send your completed documents to CIO by email (msc@tudelft.nl). Documents must be received before  July 1st 2016 or else we cannot obtain your VISA & Residence Permit!

 

CIO sends you an email confirmation. The processing time for your VISA and Resident Permit approval is 4-6 weeks after receiving your documents. There could be additional delays at the Dutch consulate in your home country!


CIO will deduct the VISA & RP fee of €311* from your Guarantee amount

Step 4: Contact your nearest Dutch Embassy/Consulate General for an appointment to pick up your VISA. Read the sample MVV application (link), the guidelines for Biometrics (link), and passport photo requirements (link)
 
Note : Ask the Embassy/Consulate General if they require additional documents. Make sure your VISA has "Multiple Entry or MULT" stamp for you to travel to other Schengen countries.  
 
If you want to collect your VISA in another country than your home country, you need to have a legal Residence Permit valid for that particular country.

Step 5: Pick up your Residence Permit card

The CIO facilitates a Residence Permit pick up on campus (Education & Student Affairs, Jaffalaan 9A - Building 30A). The date is fixed to September 25th 2016.

You are now ready to arrive in the Netherlands!
