The technical foundations of Soccer

For football, it is easy to classify the technical fundamentals into three families:

Ball control is the basis of all aspects of soccer and a source of motivation for young people, since controlling the ball makes them feel good. This skill is the key to many others. Touching is also an excellent way to practice ball control and get hold of it.

In general, it is not difficult to master a technique, but it becomes increasingly complicated if the game conditions change. Therefore, players will only be able to control the ball completely when they know how to coordinate the body parts. Also, learning will depend on the number of repetitions, although there are different combinations in terms of the applicable method.

In grassroots football, the technical fundamentals fall into four categories:

* Control the ball

* Drive the ball

* Pass the ball

* Shoot

1. The control

Controlling the ball means becoming the master of it. The perfect execution of the control implies the success of the combination. The controls that must be worked on as a priority are the oriented controls and the moving controls, since they generate speed in the game.

2. Drive the ball

It is a means of individual progression in a free space. Driving the ball well means being your owner at all times, which requires a good balance and excellent mastery of the props. Finally, driving the ball with your head raised allows you to receive information and correctly perform the play that the game requires.

3. Pass the ball

This is the action consisting of giving the ball to a teammate. It is the primary element of the collective game. Main argument of the game, the pass allows the team:

* collectively keep the ball;

* prepare the attacks,

* change the direction of the game;

* counterattack;

* give the pass or goal assistance.

4. Shot on target / shot

Action that tries to put the ball in the rival goal. It constitutes the logical conclusion, the culmination of an attack. It is the purpose of football. It requires technical qualities (good ball stroke and precision in the trajectories), physical qualities (power, coordination and balance) and mental qualities (determination, boldness and self-confidence).
