Helped my parents buy a house
Both parents went into hospital
My father died
Moved my mother into nursing home
Moved mother to Austin
Broke my foot
doctor visits, crutches, cast, X-rays, and more
Helped them pack and move
infection + 104-degree fever
prostate biopsy
Hospitalized 3 days
By the way: Prostate cancer!
three months of not healing, eventually surgery, knee scooter, recovery, pain, inflammation, months of physical therapy
Packed and moved back to Austin
Total of 27 radiation treatments
(oh yeah, bought a condo)
Dealing with my mother's doctors, Medicare, assisted living
Mother broke her hip
Mother's surgery and recovery
New nursing home
Reported them to HHS
Moved her AGAIN
Trespassers, vandals, thieves
Selling house, land and timber
Mother died
My life will never be the same
Oh, and COVID-19
