ICC Map Design & Atlas Workshop (Part 1)
I (Ian Muehlenhaus here... Hi!) review my experience learning and teaching GIScience over the past 25 years. I throw everything on the table, including false starts, dead ends, and successes. Using market data, social trends, and historical context, I outline how I imagine GIScience education and technologies will evolve over the next 10 years. I leave you with some thoughts on what core GIScience principles from the last millennium will likely endure through it all.
