Anne With An E is a Canadian tv show based on the novel Anne Of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. It has 2 seasons and it was created by Moira Walley-Beckett.
Anne Shirley-Cuthbert
Anne is the main character. She's an orphan that was accidentally adopted by a couple of single siblings, when they wanted to adopt a boy. She ends up being officially adopted by them as they fall in love with the entusiastic and lovely girl that she is. Anne is a imaginative and talkative redhead who always sees the good in everything, which makes her different. As soon as she arrives to Avonlea she's bullied for her appearance and for being an orphan. She also has a very bad temper, typical of redheads.
Gilbert Blythe
Gilbert Blythe is a charming and inteligente boy that is interested in Anne from the very beginning, even after she hits him with a slate (after he had called her carrots). Anne avoids talking to him because a friend of hers, Ruby, has had a crush on him for a long time and that would threaten her chances. We see a wonderful development in this character; how much he matures and grows up throughout the series.

Moira Walley-Beckett is a Canadian actress, producer and writer. She is the creator of the tv shows Flesh and Bone and Anne With An E. She worked on the AMC drama Breaking Bad as a writer and producer. She has won many Awards.
Reasons why I like this tv show so much
It talks about important issues that need to be discussed like racism, homophobia, feminism, how you don’t need to be beautiful to be loved… more, that there’s beauty in everything if you’re willing to see it. It also shows us that being different isn’t bad, that it is actually a good thing and that everyone has the power to fight and win their most terrifying nightmares, if you have love by your side. I hardly recommend this tv series to everyone. It made me see the world from another perspective.
