Past Continuous

We use the Past Continuous to indicate that a longer action in the past was interrupted.

I was boxing when I hurt my hands

she broke her ankle when she was running to catch the bus

We were having sex when the phone rang

Comparative Adjectives

These are words that help us to compare two nouns.

Usually we just add 'er' 'ier' to the adjective.

Texting is cheaper than making phone calls

traveling by airplane is faster than traveling by bus

Linux's better than windows

The girl on the right has more freckles than the other one

the left pile is taller than the right one
