Soil & water pollution
Global Food Security is Endangered
Using progressive technology for sustainable agriculture
Challenges in food production
Hydroponics, Aeroponics and Current Trends
- No soil is needed, no nutrition pollution
- The water stays in the system, so can be reused
- Lower nutrition requirements, nutrition control possibility
- Stable and high yields, healthier plants as no pests are used
- Energy efficient, easy harvesting
- Reduce water usage by 98% (aeroponics)
- Reduce fertilizer usage by 60%, pesticides usage up to 100%
- Near to full plant disease control (aeroponics)
- MAXIMIZE crop yields by 45% to 75%
***Not an easy task to maintain appropriate conditions***
Challenges in food production
Problems & AI Methods Utilization
The main problem of both hydroponics and especially aeroponics is that without soil as some kind of water and nutrient buffer, any failure of the aeroponic or hydroponic system leads to RAPID death of grown plant.
Artificial Intelligence in Aeroponics & Hydroponics
- Remote monitoring and remote control
- Early fault detection
- Power consumption optimization
- Optimal growing conditions adjustments
- Learning from operator behavior
What is G.E.C.k.?
G.E.C.K is very smart hydroponic or aeroponic system capable of self-diagnostics, early failure detection, providing remote monitoring and adaptive life support system features for the grown plants.
The name of the project G.E.C.K was inspired by a post apocalyptic game Fallout. G.E.C.K aka Garden of Eden Creation Kit is a device capable of radically altering the Wasteland and transforming dead, irradiated soil into viable land suitable for farming.
