Eph 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Eph 4:1b I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

Ephesians 5:21-24

22      Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23      For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
24      But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.

21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.

Biblical submission by a wife is done as obedience to Jesus.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” ....

“I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.”

-Matthew 25:34-36, 40

The Ideal Behind Biblical Submission in Marriage (vv. 23-24)

22  Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord, 23 because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church—he himself being the savior of the body. 24 But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

But the culture of Paul's day was so different from today.

Biblical submission is not a call for no-matter-what obedience on the part of wives.

The Bible does not defend traditional gender roles.
